RIN02GBx00 - Internal Remote Scanner with keypad - Std ABS Plastic for Flexi-Scan E and Multi-Scan IV only

Main Applications:

  • Inside buildings, apartments, etc., where two points of reading access are needed, e.g. one inside and one outside to open the same door

  • In cases where walls have high metal content or are too thick

  • To allow the electronics cabinet to be fitted into a secure (lockable) area, and the reading scanner to be remotely situated.

  • When anti-passback is required, a remote scanner is required on scanner channel B.

  • This remote scanner can be used with in the following products:

Flexi-Scan - all versions
Link-Scan Controller
Link-Scan Terminal
Imp-Scan
Gen-Scan
Multi Scan IV Terminals

Remote Scanners:

  • Connection for the remote scanners can be made to two Molex connectors labeled JP1 and JP2. 6-Core screened cable with 0,2 mm conductors is recommended. The unit can be mounted up to 25 m away but not closer than 500 mm to its main unit. JP1 is parallel with the internal scanner. JP2 is a separate input (on dual channel systems).

  • BE AWARE that a Remote Scanner connected to JP1 will be the opposite sense to a Remote Scanner connected to JP2. i.e. If channel 1 (JP1) is designated as an ENTRANCE door, then channel 2 (JP2) is and EXIT door and vice versa. This allows for correct operations of anti-passback.
