Nurse-Call/Emergency-Call Masters
Fully Microprocessor-Based Audio-Visual Emergency-Call System. Supervised
loop wiring. 'Check-in' feature assures daily monitoring of all
residents in the facility.
The Alpha Communications®/Tektone HC345C series
Tek-Check-In™ microprocessor-based audio-visual emergency-call
system provides senior citizen building occupants with unparalleled
protection, while supplying management with a fully automatic
mandated check-in procedure for each resident.
The HC345C addresses the needs of both resident and staff by combining
ease of operation, accurate two-way voice communication, and an
English language format prominently displayed on a high-resolution,
compact CRT.
The HC345C system also includes masters with keys that are colored
and grouped accordingly for ease of operation, and the handset
is an integral part of the master station.
The heart of the system is the Central Processing Equipment (CPE).
Standard features include dual system networking between two CPE's,
the capacity for 256 addressable stations, and a serial port for
adding a printer or management system (NC386). Electronic supervision
is provided through the polling of the system four (4) times a
second to verify proper system function and total system operation.
An optional Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) (Model #PC-25)
is offered to guard against power outages regardless of geographical
location or harsh-weather environments.
The CRT master station combination provides all programming capability
necessary to assign room numbering, set room status, and carry
on a two-way voice communication with the residents, while prominently
displaying English language system information on a high-resolution
CRT. In addition to the handset, the master incorporates additional
function keys which allow the operator to dispatch administrators/staff
to appropriate rooms, if required. Each apartment station is attractively
styled with a white faceplate to compliment any decor.
Each resident must check in each day by simply pressing a "Check-In"
button prominently mounted on the (Model # IR345B) apartment Occupant
Help Station (OHS). Each apartment may have a (Model #IR145B)
remote OHS for emergency calling purposes only. This single "Check-In"
action removes the resident's apartment designation from the CPE.
If the resident does not check in, the apartment designation will
remain on the system CRT at the conclusion of the check-in sequence.
The supervising authority must contact the resident by using the
voice-communication system or dispatch administrative personnel
to verify the well-being of the resident. The check-in time sequence
can be tailored to fit the needs of each facility and is password
protected for security against misuse or tampering.
To maximize the installed cost-benefit of every HC345C system,
we have added monitoring ability of ancillary devices such as
apartment smoke detectors, door contacts, and emergency pull cords.
The flexibility furnished by the HC345C programming alternatives,
simple multiplexed wiring, and standard back box mounting all
add up to a system that is unequalled in feature and function.
